The weather has changed. And with it, your wardrobe.
Thanks to climate change, we’ve all learned how to be more flexible. Camping in snow-covered mountains? Don’t forget your swimsuit…. Going to the beach? Bring those snow boots.
For those of us anticipating the biannual “Changing of the Garments” - IT’S TIME.
When my clients are ready, they know I will be there to get them through. The trick is to focus on one thing at a time. And a good playlist. As a Swifty, I lean on TayTay to push through pain.
Let’s start with Sweaters:
1) Make sure the sweater is clean - no food stains / no sweat stains. Moths LOVE THAT SHIT.
2) Flat Fold - this will save you the most space. Cross arms over. Fold hem to shoulders. Thats it.
3) Store in collapsable boxes. One of my faves from IKEA .
4) Cedar + Lavender. Tuck into your wool and cashmere. The more expensive the sweaters, the more likely a moth will dine there. Be generous with the cedar chips and toss around the lavender oil like its champagne on New Year’s 🍾
Next up, Dresses:
1) Same as above - In the words of Sam Smith; make sure you keep “your business clean”
2) Sweater or Knit Dresses - follow the rules above and encase them in cedar + lavender in boxes
3) Silk or other delicates - hang in a fabric garment bag. This one has a great airtight seal. No moths!
Most importantly, try on EVERYTHING before storing. What’s the point of going through the trouble if you never wear it? (Sorry to bury the lead).

Still procrastinating? Let’s book a date and get things moving. Maybe we discover a treasure trove of items to sell. Take that found money and treat yourself: Pedicure to show off your sandals. Ticket to somewhere you can show off that gorgeous kaftan.
YOU’VE EARNED THIS!
I love your guts!
