Get framed.
An earring is the beautiful frame for that gorgeous masterpiece of a face you have there. (This analogy can get wobbly, so stay with me). Sometimes your everyday studs, stones, hoops can become such a habit you no longer see them on your face. Until a friend stops by and calls you on it; it quickly becomes the style equivalent of hanging pictures on your wall with double-sided tape "temporarily, until I get to West Elm."
Mortified, you go online.
The most important thing I look for in my drama is comfort and there's nothing sexy about droopy earlobes. Got gauges? No disrespect, carry on. But for the rest of the us to have the most lightweight impact, its best to find feathers or fabric.
Tassles are the low-hanging fruit of the statement earring.....
.....they are so FUN. Be prepared for your new life as a people-person because you're not getting far without being stopped every... single...block.
Another lightweight alternative to the Tassle is her bff, The Fan.
A bold earring is perfect for:
* black pants, black tee because you just cannot...not today
* jeans and tee (but not the really cute kind, that makes the whole operation redundant)
* when you ran out of concealer and need to distract the world from yo bags!
* you're Jenna Lyons and don't give a fuck about anything above this line
The pioneer this season to whom we must bow down and try to lift our heads back up is Delpozo. Sigh.....
Don't be mad if my next post is ONLY about Delpozo. In fact, that's prob why it took me 3 mos+ to write a post.
How about some racy lacey ones? I want to buy a gazillion of these and use them to replace all my bras straps!
Ok kids, that's all I got for now. Hope this added a little brightness to an overcast Tuesday.
Thanks for the eyeballs!
